01
Our idea was an AR app for Patagonia — no QR code needed. You simply point your phone at any Patagonia item, and the app automatically recognises it, showing full sustainability statistics about that specific piece.
02
Four key screens that make the Patagonia AR app work; from scanning clothing to earning rewards for cleaning up trash.
Scan any Patagonia item — the app automatically recognises it and shows full sustainability data.
Use AR to scan litter on the street and earn points for contributing to a cleaner world.
Track your earned points, redeem discounts, and see your impact — all in one clear overview.
Complete sustainability challenges to earn bonus points and unlock exclusive Patagonia rewards.
03
The app features a gamified points system that rewards users for sustainable behaviour,
making eco-consciousness feel rewarding and fun rather than obligatory.
Point your camera at trash on the street and earn points for every piece you identify and report.
Daily and weekly sustainability challenges that push you to act, and reward you when you do.
Redeem your points for real Patagonia discounts, exclusive gear, and early access to new collections.
04
To promote the app and raise Patagonia’s awareness among young people, we built a Snapchat filter and a video demonstrating the app in action.
Patagonia’s target audience — young, environmentally conscious people aged 18–30 — is highly active on Snapchat. An AR filter is native to the platform, costs nothing to share, and spreads organically when people enjoy using it.
The filter was designed to feel on-brand: clean, minimal, and tied to the outdoors aesthetic Patagonia is known for.
